These cons could lead to situations where you can get emotionally or physically hurt, and you will have no control of the situation if you have traveled to meet someone. You may end up alone and hurt in an unfamiliar city.
There is really no way to say how it will work out for someone. For some people that go to online dating services they meet their life partner, other people come across online dating scams and are left feeling hurt and alone. It is important that each person evaluate his or her needs beforehand to determine whether online dating is the best way to meet someone.
